WORD AV, invites you to bring your kids to a fun holiday storytime at Barnes & Noble on Thursday, December 1st. Story times: 10:30 - 11:30 am, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, and 5:00 - 7:00 pm
There will also be a fundraiser bookfair and gift wrapping.

April 2011 is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
In conjunction with 'Yes To Kids', a writing contest with the Theme of "Families are happy when ..."

2010 Literacy Festival
WORD, AV, the local literacy coaltion, is holding its 6th annual Literacy Festival on Saturday, September 25th. The Fundraising Committee, is initiating a call for donations called "The Great Forty-Eight". You'll see that we're asking for a pretty modest donation of $25 to be listed as a sponsor of what will be a fun and educational event, complete with literacy workshops, music, storytelling, information tables, book giveaways, and much more.
